What is the meaning Network Topologies and What Network Topologies are ? Ok.

Network topology is a kind of a system (layout) that used to connect devices (Computers , Printers , Etc..) across media. This is a simple definition about What network topology is.. I think that now you have an idea that what it is.

There are three basic Network topologies..

• BUS Topology
• RING Topology
• STAR Topology

These are the three basic topologies. Advance and More Complex Networking Topologies can be created Using These Three Topologies .

What applications do you use for communication on you computer.. You will say , I use Google talk, Yahoo messenger, Internet Explore, Firefox, FileZilla, etc.. Ok.. you are right. These are the application that we use everyday for our communication. But they can be categorized like this..

• instant messaging - Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Etc..
• E-mail
• Database Application
• Online Gaming

I think that you would get a idea what are the Pieces (Devices ) of network.

Chapter 1.1 What is a Network ?

There are lot of definitions about What a Network is. In Electronic world ( Computer World ) we can give a definition like this " A Collection Of Electronic devices that can communicate together across Media.

According to this simple diagram , you can see some Electronic devices , cables and wireless technology but Definition says that A Network has some Electronic Devices and They are able to communicate across media..

Then According to this simple diagram....

• Electronic Devices - PC , IP Camera , Server , Phone , Laptop and Wireless Access Point


• Media - Cables , Wireless

It means that A Network must have Some Electronic Devices and Media to Communicate.
